Alocasia ‘Sarian,’ or hybrid elephant ear, is a plant in the Araceae family. It is often confused with Alocasia mycorrhizas, or giant taro. This tropical plant prefers warm, humid conditions, indirect sunlight, and slightly acidic soil. Like most Alocasia species, this one is toxic to humans and pets when consumed.
